GamerSafer Joins Thriving in Games Group as a Platinum Member

Advancing player safety as a foundation for digital thriving

By Maria Tamellini

GamerSafer is proud to announce that we have joined Thriving in Games Group, TIGG, as a Platinum Member.

At GamerSafer, we create resources and solutions that address real harms in games, from abuse and exploitation to other risks that impact players, communities, and platforms. We believe safety is the foundation for care, trust, belonging, and better experiences, and that is why TIGG's vision for digital thriving feels so aligned with the future we want to help build.

Digital thriving gives the industry a broader inspiring vision that goes beyond "toxicity" and asks what it really means for gaming spaces to enrich players' lives and empower them to be their best selves. In that sense, digital thriving happens as an outcome, when developers intentionally design online spaces to foster well-being, accomplishment, belonging, and meaningful relationships across individuals, groups, and communities. This deeply aligns with how we see the present and future of player safety. Safer spaces are enablers; they are the foundation. When players feel protected, respected, and supported, they are more likely to connect, participate, create, and belong. Spaces designed with that in mind don't just retain players — they give people somewhere worth returning to. And communities built on genuine care tend to attract exactly the kind of diverse, engaged audiences that make games matter. That's good for players, and it's good for the industry.

That's why joining TIGG is a natural evolution of our work. Over the years, we've partnered with developers, platforms, researchers, and community leaders toward better outcomes for players, and TIGG brings that same collaborative spirit to the industry at large. As a Platinum Member, we're proud to support work like the Digital Thriving Playbook, the research, and resources that bring this vision to life.

"We welcome GamerSafer as a partner in our mission. Their commitment to improve online spaces reflects the kind of work that moves the conversation on prosocial design and building healthy communities forward. We're proud to have them alongside us to build on research, resources, and our growing TIGG community."

— Matthew Soeth, Executive Director, TIGG

As a TIGG Member, GamerSafer looks forward to contributing our experience in trust and safety, player protection, and community to help advance research, shape practical best practices, and support initiatives that turn this vision into action.

The future of gaming is one where safety and thriving go hand in hand. We're proud to be building it alongside TIGG.
